Our Approach
- Private instruction for graduate exams begins with an assessment to understand strengths and weaknesses. Using the assessment, the tutor works closely with the student to set realistic, yet ambitious, goals.
- We develop a personal tutoring plan focused on the concepts and problem types the student struggles with most.
- For example, for many GMAT students, those struggles are the result of being unfamiliar with the appropriate formula, theorem, number property, shortcut, process, argument analysis, attack strategy, or idiom skills.
- For LSAT students, it’s often about the complex language, logic and reading questions they encounter.
- Throughout the process, our tutors can see exactly where the student is making gains and where they might be struggling and can continue to target areas of weakness with focused problem sets and insightful, strategic instruction.
- For GRE and GMAT prep, instruction is also informed by our instructors’ proprietary databases which compile key strategies and principles necessary for excelling on these tests.
- With regular reinforcement of key test-taking techniques and rigorous review of frequently tested concepts, students become well-equipped to achieve the impressively high scores required for competitive graduate, MBA, law and medical school programs.
- We typically recommend a series of twice weekly meetings to get a student ready for a real exam. Tutoring sessions are typically held online which is often ideal for aspiring graduate students with limited availability in their schedules.
