The competition is tough, but achieving high marks on this exam can help a student land a National Merit Scholarship for college.
Interested in earning bragging rights AND cash for college?
The PSAT, or the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, is offered to high school juniors every year in October.
Did you know?
Over 1,300,000 students take the PSAT every year. In 2022, just 7,500 students earned National Merit Scholarship status nationally.
Practice That Can Pay Off
Whether or not your student is vying for National Merit consideration, taking a PSAT provides helpful standardized test-taking experience and excellent practice for the SAT. We can help your student prepare.
Individual Instruction
PSAT prep from Flying Colors is all about individualized instruction. It consists of a series of weekly lessons to get a student ready for a real exam. The program is customized based on a student’s starting test score, desired score, and their ongoing response to instruction. Each student works with two instructors, one of whom tackles reading and writing and the other focuses on math.
Digital Tools For A Digital Test
Because the PSAT is a digital, adaptive test, we utilize an online testing platform with digital exams so that students can become more comfortable taking these types of exams. Through their work with us, students learn how to take advantage of digital testing tools such as marking problems for review, highlighting text and eliminating answer choices. Further, we provide all of our PSAT students with a lesson manual that offers insights into taking digital tests, overviews of the structure of each section and the format of question types, plus plenty of practice problems to help students achieve testing success.
